Homemade Pizza Sauce

Brooke is out this week so I’m subbing in with a recipe. Friday night is pizza night at my house! Sometimes we pick it up from somewhere, but a lot of times we make it! Here’s our favorite homemade pizza sauce recipe. This does make a lot of sauce. But, we eat a LOT of pizza! Recipe can be halved. Just make sure that you half all the ingredients.

INGREDIENTS:
28 oz can Tomato Sauce
1 (6 oz) can tomato paste
3 Tbsp Italian Seasoning
1 1/2 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp granulated sugar (optional)
1/2 onion powder
1/2 tsp kosher salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/4 tsp red pepper flakes

DIRECTIONS:
1) In a large mixing bowl, combine tomato paste with tomato sauce, stirring until smooth
2) Stir in remaining ingredients, mixing well
3) Use to make pizza or as a dipping sauce

Leftover sauce can be refrigerated for 1-2 or frozen for up to 3 months.
