Turn Up Your Faith
“I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!” — Mark 9:24
What do you need to turn up?
Think about your phone, TV, or car radio. Sometimes the problem isn’t that something isn’t speaking—the problem is that something else is simply louder.
The same can happen in our spiritual lives.
God is speaking, but fear, doubt, circumstances, pressure, and our own thoughts can become louder.
So how do we turn up our faith?
Turn Up God’s Word
Romans 10:17 reminds us that faith comes from hearing the message of Christ.
What we listen to matters. If we continually listen to fear, fear gets louder. But when we fill our hearts with God’s Word, faith gets louder.
Before reaching for your phone each morning, try reaching for God’s Word. Let His truth be one of the first voices you hear.
Turn Down the Noise
Remember Peter walking on water? As long as his eyes were on Jesus, he walked in faith. But when he focused on the wind and waves, fear took over.
Jesus hadn’t changed. Peter’s focus had.
Our circumstances may be loud, but they don’t determine how big our God is.
Turn down the voice saying, “It’s never going to change,” and turn up God’s voice reminding you, “I am with you.”
Be Honest With God
The father in Mark 9 prayed one of the most honest prayers in Scripture:
“I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!”
That’s faith—not pretending we have no questions or fears, but bringing them honestly to Jesus.
Faith says, “I may be afraid, but I will still trust You.”
Take the Next Step
Faith moves. Noah built the ark. Abraham went when God called. Peter stepped out of the boat.
Sometimes God doesn’t show us the whole path. He simply asks us to trust Him with the next step.
So ask, “God, what is my next faithful step?” Then take it.
Turn Up Your Faith This Week
Maybe it means opening your Bible before your phone.
Maybe it’s replacing 15 minutes of worry with 15 minutes of prayer.
Maybe it’s worshiping in the car, speaking God’s promises when fear begins to speak, or taking a step of obedience you’ve been avoiding.
And when your faith feels small, remember:
God has been faithful before, and He will be faithful again.
The storm may not immediately stop. The circumstances may not immediately change. But we can fix our eyes on Jesus and trust the One who holds it all.
So today, turn up God’s Word. Turn up prayer. Turn up worship. Turn up obedience. And turn down the voices that tell you God isn’t enough.
He is. He has always been faithful. And He will be faithful again.
