Lists
Lists. I love them. Whether it’s a list of the best songs from the 80’s. The top movies of all time. Or a list of things to do. I love lists.
Every Saturday morning, I make a checklist of things that I need to accomplish for the day. Here’s a sample of what I recently jotted down.
Run 7 miles. Shower. Coffee. Vacuum. Mop. Dust. Mow. Laundry.
There’s something refreshing to me about making a list and checking each one of them off.
On each list are things to do. Things to accomplish. Some are weekly things, and some are daily things. They are all just “things”.
That was until what I saw on my morning run. One little piece of paper with a BIG message.
"PEOPLE FIRST. TASKS SECOND."
I have never been afraid to go out of my way to touch base with someone. Whether it’s sending a text, making a call, or saying hello in the store. I like “people”. So now, I wonder what would happen if I added “people” to my list before “tasks”? What more of an impact could I make? Want to join me?
People first. Go make a difference. Always run by Faith.
