A Joyful Surprise

I stopped at a local gift and clothing store to pick up a few faith-based items for a mission.

While I was there, the owner was helping a lady try on a shirt that she was excited to use her gift card for.

Feeling a nudge and being reminded of a gas card that I had left over from a different outing, I explained who I was and about our ministry and told her that the Lord placed it on my heart to give her this gas card.

She was so overwhelmed and in shock because a series of events had just happened that left her stressed; a pipe broke in her home leaving a portion flooded and her son’s truck broke down in the same day and neither of them had the means to fix it.

But God turned that all around!

The mechanic ended up fixing the truck for free and she was on her way to pick it up when I handed her the gas card.

She had a perfect response “Only God could line this up for us”.
