Grace in the Growing

There’s something beautiful happening behind the scenes at JOY99 — a picture of teamwork, patience, and shared purpose. As our team learns the ins and outs of a brand new software program, one thing has become clear: we’re all in this together. (cue the High School Musical Soundtrack)

Learning something new can be intimidating, especially when it impacts how we do what we love every day — sharing JOY and encouragement across West Michigan. But what’s been amazing to see is how every person on the JOY99 team has stepped up with open minds and humble hearts.

We’re asking questions. We’re helping each other. We’re cheering each other on when things click — and offering grace when they don’t (yet). It’s not just about learning software… It's about growing as a family.

While learning together, it can be east to see frustration and finger-pointing. But, through this process, we have seen the heart of JOY99 — people pulling in the same direction, using their unique strengths, and trusting God to guide the process. It’s teamwork that reflects unity, purpose, and JOY in action. Romans 12:4-5, says, "For just as each of us has one body with many members, and not all members have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others".

Is there a project, or even event planning, that seems daunting? I encourage you to try and do it with, "Grace, grace, God's grace". We’re doing this together, and it’s a pretty beautiful thing!
