Worry Too Much

"You worry too much for someone who God has never failed"

I saw this quote recently and I knew it was speaking directly to me! Why do I worry? What has worry ever gotten me, except extra stress? Jesus asks us in Matthew if we can add a single hour to our life by worrying. No, I actually think it takes the hours away with the added heart-pounding and mind-racing and breath-shortening. 

Stop. Take a moment and take some inventory of ALL the things God has brought you through. Are there any that have turned out better because you worried? Are there any that have turned out differently that what GOD had in mind? That's the important difference. Yes, sometimes things don't turn out the way WE planned, but that doesn't mean they didn't turn out better. 

Once you're done with your list of the ways God has totally showed up, watch and listen to this song. It stops me in my tracks every time. "When my world broke into pieces, You were there faithfully".

And I'm so grateful.
