Jingle Bell Rock

Ady is a spunky fun-loving little girl that has the most love to give as she lives with down syndrome.

Ady’s dad wrote into Joy99 with a kind thank you, explaining that he and his daughter had a special tradition of searching for the Jingle Bell Rock and appreciated opportunities like this.

He explained with it being a scavenger hunt to find a hidden diamond from Jenson Jewelers that they never won, the excitement Ady had for this game and the time he was able to spend with her on these hunts was more valuable than any diamond.

Joy Bus wanted to keep this joy going for this duo so I was able to create our own little scavenger hunt with a guaranteed win at the end! With just a week to prepare, I leaned into God to help create, which He pointed me in the direction of local businesses to help.

The rhyming clues brought Ady and her dad to a bakery for a donut, a flower shop for a balloon and a church that had a room specialized for kids living with disabilities.

After a play session, we jumped back on the bus for one last clue that brought them to the studio at Joy99 where she found a diamond cross necklace gifted by Jensen Jewelers.

At each of these locations, I saw true joy on the faces of the employees participating. The joy we get from blessing others sometimes feels like the greatest blessing.
